How far in advance should I place my order?

Due to the handcrafted, made-to-order nature of our business, we require a minimum of 72 hours for all orders, and we recommend 5-7 days notice for most orders. That being said, orders are welcome to be placed with as much time in advance beyond that as you wish!

What payment methods do you accept?

As we use Squarespace as our online merchant service, when purchasing items on our website you may use:

Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, Union Pay, and Cartes-Bancaires (CB)

You can also checkout using Apple Pay, Link by Stripe, or take a purchase installment plan with Klarna or Afterpay!

Do you accept cancellations?

We totally understand that life happens, and that plans can change. While we do have to place some limitations due to our made-to-order baking style, we have created a cancellation policy to remain as flexible as possible. Please see our POLICIES page for more details.

Do you offer returns or refunds?

Due to the perishable, made-to-order, and custom nature of our products, all sales are final. If there’s an issue, please reach out to us directly and we’ll do our best to make it right! You can find our information on our CONTACT page.

Why do your sandwich and combo prices seem higher than some other places?

At Thyme to Gather, every sandwich is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and served on our house-baked breads — from sourdough to pretzel buns to baguettes. We use premium items like Canadian prosciutto, fresh herbs, and real brie, and every order is prepared to order in our licensed kitchen, not mass-produced or pre-wrapped. Our pricing reflects not just ingredients, but the care, time, and skill it takes to bring these items to life. We believe great gatherings start with great food — and we stand behind the quality in every bite.

Why didn’t I receive my ‘order received’ or ‘confirmation’ email?

If this has happened to you, then first and foremost we are so sorry for the inconvenience! Technology can be frustrating at the best of times and especially so when you’re trying to plan a gathering.

For the ‘order received’ emails that you should receive after checking out and paying online, those you should receive directly from Squarespace who processes our payments.

For the ‘your order is confirmed’ emails, those come from us directly and you should get it from thymetogathercatering@gmail.com.

In either case, please double check your junk folder to ensure it didn’t fall in there by accident, and if not please reach out to us directly at thymetogathercatering@gmail.com or through our contact so that we can ensure we have the proper email on the order form, and redispatch the email as needed.

What kind of baking & catering do you specialize in?

Do you take custom orders?

We try to allow as much customization with flavours and preferences as possible in each of our box and platter options!

If you are looking for something off-menu, we would love to hear about it! We can’t guarantee that we can accomodate the request, but please fill out a contact form on our CONTACT page and we’ll let you know what we think.

Do you use local or Canadian ingredients?

Yes, absolutely! We always strive to shop responsibly and prioritize Canadian and local ingredients whenever possible. As a result, some prices may be higher to help accommodate this effort, and prices are subject to change due to availability and supply. However, we will never change the prices of an order that has already been placed.

Why are some of your cookie sizes different?

We totally get that with many things in the baking process, consistency is key! But with so many flavours, textures, and flours, our cookies tend to take on a personality of their own. As some of our cookies are cakier than others, they tend to rise rather than spread, and the density of alternative flours in our gluten-free cookies leads them to be overall heavier than some others. We aim for a dependable, tried and tested weight for each of our sectioned doughs, to make sure you always get the best value for your money; this lends to the rustic and hand-made style of our sizing.
